BarBarOS takes the opposite path. It connects the hardware you already control and gives AI a private way to work across it. Your data stays close, the cloud stays optional, and you decide what can act.

Ormur turns your phone into a full terminal on a computer you own — and a remote control for the AI coding agents already running there.
Start a long build on your PC, leave the desk, and keep the session with you. See what is running, respond when an agent needs a decision, or take over the terminal from anywhere. The process keeps running on your machine under your own account.
Ormur is not an AI service. It does not provide, proxy or resell a model. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, PowerShell, bash or any other terminal tool continues to run on your PC with your own credentials.

Open a full terminal to your own computer with a coding key row, session continuity and direct control.
Stay in the loop
See active sessions, notice when a tool is waiting, approve or deny, and jump into the terminal when needed.
Sovereign by design
Terminal input and output travel through an end-to-end encrypted WireGuard mesh between your devices.
FIG 03 · HOW ORMUR WORKS
There are no ports to open and no SSH keys to hand-build. Ormur handles the connection while keeping the computer as the place where the work actually runs.
Run the Windows installer once. A background service keeps the computer reachable after sign-in, app closes and reboots.
Type the temporary 6-digit code into the Android app. Pairing happens once; device credentials can later be revoked.
Ormur reconnects over Wi-Fi or mobile data, preferring a direct path and using an encrypted relay only when the network requires it.
The boundary is simple: commands, keystrokes, files and terminal output remain end-to-end encrypted. Our coordination service handles only the minimum metadata required to pair devices and establish a connection.
