Ormur Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are a binding agreement between you and BarbarOS Technologies LLC, New Mexico Entity ID 0008113901 ("BarbarOS", "we", "us"). By installing, pairing or using Ormur, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not install or use Ormur.

2. What Ormur is

Ormur is a remote-access and terminal tool that connects your phone to a computer you own over an end-to-end encrypted private network. Ormur is not an AI provider or reseller. Any AI tool, shell or command you reach through Ormur runs on your own computer under your own account and credentials.

3. Licence

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Ormur on devices you own or control for lawful purposes. This is a licence, not a sale. We retain all rights in the software and branding not expressly granted.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Ormur to:

5. Your machine and third-party tools

You are responsible for your computer, its security and backups, and every command or AI agent you choose to run. You are also responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party tool or service you access. References to Claude, Codex, Gemini or other products are descriptive and do not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

6. Privacy and security boundary

Terminal input/output, commands, files and keystrokes are end-to-end encrypted between your paired devices. We do not have access to session content or AI credentials. Our limited handling of connection metadata is described in the Ormur Privacy Policy.

7. Pairing, revocation and termination

You are responsible for the security of paired devices. You may revoke a device and stop using Ormur at any time. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to respond to a material breach, security threat, abuse, legal requirement or risk to the service or other users.

8. Updates and availability

We may provide updates or change features to improve security, compatibility or operation. Some updates may be required for continued use. Connectivity depends on devices and networks outside our control, so uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

9. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ormur is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarbarOS Technologies LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from Ormur. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your place of residence.
